Poem: Eight


(For National Poetry Month I am writing a stream-of-conscious poem per day. Each poem is  a spontaneous poem single edit – could get messy!  Here is Poem #8…)

one two
we begin with hope
two three
continue on some more
four five
just one more bend
seven eight
now its much too late
into the inky maze
entangled deep in
the tentacles
of mystery
held fast held tight
no release
from this plight
fading away
counting down
eight seven…
