Poem: Heartless

(For National Poetry Month I am writing a stream-of-conscious poem per day. Each poem is  a spontaneous poem single edit – could get messy!  Here is Poem #9…)

the best part is I no longer feel
nothing
never
since that day when you took it all
everything
ever
by slicing out my heart in pieces
unsheathing
sever
grinding it under your laughter
seething
whatever
leaving only this jagged scar
bequeathing
forever
a life of silent solitary exile.
