Poem: Zero

(For National Poetry Month I am writing a stream-of-conscious poem per day. Each poem is  a spontaneous poem single edit – could get messy!  Here is Poem #29.)

we begin
from zero
start burning
in fevered
burst of
gifted heat
exchanged
imparted
implanted
received

our potential
refined defined
by states of
entropy cascading
over time
imbued
eschewed
energized
ground zero
ignites

friction working
its magic
on our bodies
and minds
slowing us
from fiery stars
into collapsing
black holes
of what was
what isn’t
what never will be

you took me in
embraced me close
nothing between us
siphoning in
this heat of me
settling sliding
deep inside you
quivering with want
yearning in ecstasy
yielding rhapsodic
intoxicated joy
subdued
absorbed
dissipated
collapsed

laughing you
sent me spiraling free
devoid depleted drained
of all I was
leaving me
stranded at
absolute zero.
