Poem: Beyond Blue

can you feel the pull?
the weight of gravity
sucking out my soul
this ain’t the blues
this ain’t melancholy
this is hell
black-hole
worm-hell
buckling
doom
festering
gloom

you can’t sugar coat this
you can’t re-arrange this
into shiny pretty patterns
of shattered
stained glass
fractals
set in lead

let me be
embryonic
let me be
cocooned
let me be
alone
let me die

turn out the lights
shut the door
throw away the key

there is no up
there is no out
there is no more
there is no ending
only damnation
only your scorn
mocking my weakness
poking my sores

go away
go away
go away

let me be
embryonic
let me be
cocooned
let me be
alone
let me die.
