Poem: February Second

Day breaks
jagged on the eastern sky
splinters of sun
bleeding clouds
throbbing red

Today
we awaken slowly wisely
and sees no shadows
only the blessed hope
that time will
fulfill our usual journey
around our sun

Tomorrow
we will complain
of the cold snow
forgetting what
lies waiting
beneath booted feet
the promise
of flowers
blossoming
once more!

I’m glad we are still ” hanging” around this web world together, Mr Merlin.

      3. That song is a damn ear-worm. And yes I am always happy to see you tracks across my pages – and I do visit your site but maybe I arrive after the words have left public viewing…
You librarians are always re-shelving the books 🙂

      4. Laughing. Well. I haven’t deleted in awhile and I haven’t written in awhile either. Perhaps I should translate my own angst into some poetic verse?
