Poem: March first

new moon slips between clouds
heavy with thoughts of snow.
wind urges me to walk faster
before the winter storm arrives.

and I wonder where are you?
on this stormy winter night
where are you snuggled warmly
wrapped in woolen comfort?

my empty house longs for your
soft voice and sweet perfume.
late at night I can hear the
walls moaning for your return.

    1. I am glad you enjoyed it! Funny how I thought it was rather simple and plain. Maybe I am trying to be too fancy?
