Poem: March fifteenth


bird on window sill
trilling evening song
startled streak swiftly
pounces full force
hard against glass
rattling pane…

fluttery flurry flies
feather falls free
silence returns

my cat preens pretending
he has saved the house.

    1. The best part of cats is their supreme confidence. No matter what happens they have that ‘worked exactly to plan’ attitude going. Nice haiku!
