Poem: Naked

(For National Poetry Month I am writing a stream-of-conscious poem per day. Each poem is  a spontaneous poem single edit – could get messy!  Here is Poem #16.)

barely we lie
lingering next
to tingling each
we are born this way
with skin calling
out to other skin
wanting touch

smooth caress running
curving down neck
full across chest
over ticklish belly
slowly down to where
hopeful desire waits
to be stroked
and stoked

tell me where
with your sighs
where these fingers
should go…
