Poem: Xenon

(For National Poetry Month I am writing a stream-of-conscious poem per day. Each poem is  a spontaneous poem single edit – could get messy!  Here is Poem #27.)

this journey never ends
here I go
out of place
out of time
looking for my heart
and the shattered pieces
of happy yesterdays

I never know
what is real
what is not
finding alternative endings
inside every broken bottle
that numbs this pain

do you know me?
have you held me?
can you guide me?
you answer with strange sounds
that have no translation…
I think I am too far gone

here there be dragons
and strange things
never before seen

I am gone wrong.

Shall we have a conversation?
