Poem: Supine

You move like water
seeping over sand
gently lap-lapping
in the summer noon

I could watch you move
in slow motion waves
for eternity
if you would let me

Pulling back the sheets
you collapse on me
wicked smile on lips
infecting my blood
with your warm desire

You entangle me
in a surge of heat
and humidity:
human hurricane

I am swept into
the eye of the storm
with no choice but
to move with the waves

Yielding to the storm
surging around us
energy building
to fierce tidal waves

Then finally spent
the seas calm again
leaving us adrift
in the aftermath

Shall we have a conversation?
