Poem: Change

i am less than a whole
yet still more than a half
jingling jingling
in a denim pocket

you never looked twice
while searching for still more
jangling jangling
a match for your socket

don’t tell me you’re sorry
when there’s still more to sell
tinkling tinkling
an old broken sprocket

you always walk away
while i remain still more
chinkling chinkling
chained to the docket.

Shall we have a conversation?
