(For National Poetry Month I am writing a stream-of-conscious poem per day. Each poem is a spontaneous poem single edit – could get messy! Here is Poem #12.)
boredoms kicking at my can
making noise I just can’t stand
wait a sec what’s that riff?
turn it up and go with the drift.
why are you so tight?
no need to start a fight.
feel the beat move the night
you and me – we’re alright
where’s the beer? where’s the wine?
forget work – feeling divine
there are thoughts in my head
that involve you in my bed
I like that you are tight
little tiger of my night
let’s slip outta sight
get on down to feeling right
i think we’re overdressed
no need to get obsessed
slip it down and slip it out
oh i like – that little pout
here we are holding tight
time for fire – set me alight!
think we’ll do what we just might
skin on skin feels so right
come on sugar let it loose
come on baby grab the goose
come on honey let it loose
oh la la – where’s that juice?
I like that you are tight
little tiger of my night
let’s slip outta sight
get on down to feeling right
