Poem: Rear-view Regrets

we are constructed ever so oddly
eyes forward seeing straight ahead

the more we see
the more we remember
the more we linger in the past

until all we see in our future
is what we left behind in the past

the more we think
the more we regret
the more we re-invert our story

mirror mirror inside my head
I see the truth; I was misled!

Shall we have a conversation?
