Day 3 and the next prompt is:
What is your favourite series?
My favourite series have changed over the years. Growing up and when I first started reading, it was both the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew series. I still have a few of my favourite books from those series. I think the Nancy Drew books have aged better than the Hardy Boys.
Then it was Lord of the Rings and at the same time Narnia.
I have a hard time saying now what my favourite might be. Katherine Kerr’s Deverry books is one series that I keep going back to.
Today I think my answer is Jack Whyte’s Camulod Chronicles

I remember reading as many of the Arthurian books and legends I could get my hands are on starting when I was 11. We had a version of Le Morte d’Arthur by Mallory that had been modernized and rewritten for high-school readers; And I devoured.
Whyte’s take on Arthur goes back to the roots of the stories and sets it in a historical context using science and technology to explain much of the mystical aspects. I also spent 5 years studying Latin and Classical studies – so the Roman Britain setting also appealed to that scholarly obsession.
I highly recommend the first 3 books. The later books lose some of their strong narrative and the refreshing take on a well worn stor
